By far the best hotel I've stayed in on Koh Chang. The family suite was perfect … More for us 3 but for bigger families also perfect. We loved the beds as they are really comfortable in comparison to most beds in hotels in Thailand, hard as a rock! Housekeeping was amazing as well and all services provided by Blue Haven (shuttle to the main road/7-11, the beach restaurant, roomservice) are great!
The only minor thing is the location. It's close to the ferry, just a 5 min drive which is convenient for impatient travellers, but getting to White Sand Beach(restaurants,bars, shops and streetfood) is a 10/15 min drive from the main road. Getting to can be cheap (200baht) but getting back in the evening (prime time for taxi's) can be expensive as the drivers will start with 500baht.
But other than that we've really enjoyed our 12nights stay at Marina Sands Resort and we will be back for sure! - Large resort, only inconvenience is that you have to rent a vehicle or always call the resort to transport you (for free) from a point to another inside … More the resort. Breakfast was good, rooms are enormous and the view from our room was to the river so we woke up to a nice view. It was relaxing staying at this resort, would definitely come again!
- Found this hotel which was good in terms of price, as I think the prices here on the island have become too expensive. Here at this hotel I got smiles … More at the reception, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and a nice newer toilet. The breakfast here the first day was perfect and the employees smiling and pleasant. It is hard to see it can be done much better. The advantage of this hotel is that it is quiet and pleasant to be here. It is far from the room to the restaurant, but if you don't have a car they provide transportation. All in all, many hotels can learn from this hotel, it is not that difficult to make people happy 🙏 (We sad we not got a room with a balcony, but we can live without)
